Restoring Tidal Flow & Fish Access to Bride Brook.mp4

Filmed Dec. ‘09 to Jan. ‘10…Nestled in Rocky Neck State Park, Bride Brook is Connecticut’s second largest herring run. With American Recovery & Reinvestment Act funding provided by NOAA, Save the Sound recently led a project to replace a collapsed culvert here that was blocking tidal flow and fish access to upstream spawning habitat. This short video highlights some of the construction phases. Stay tuned for another video of a major volunteer planting and celebration here in spring 2010.
